What is Cold Laser?

What is Cold Laser? Cold Laser is a treatment that utilizes wavelengths of lights to connect to muscle tissue relieving pain and accelerating the healing process of an injury. The therapy is primarily used to repair tissue and pain of inflammation from muscle sprains. A sprain is a stretch or tear in a ligament, which is the tissue that connects your bones together.

A cold laser is approximately the size of an average flashlight that glides across the targeted area for several minutes or as long as it is needed to treat the area. The reason it is called cold laser is because of the fact the light levels are so low that it does not get hot enough to heat up the tissue.

As mentioned before, cold laser therapy is used for tissue and muscle injuries such as sprains, but it can also be used for many other treatments. For example, the therapy treats chronic pain stemming from fibromyalgia, assist in skin rejuvenation treating acne, as well as serving as an alternative to acupuncture needles for those who find them uncomfortable.
