How to Stay Healthy This Summer

It is almost summer and we all know what that means, Ice cream! During the summer, all of our childhood tasty sweets to keep us cool resurface and our first instinct is to indulge. It’s almost as if I can hear the ice cream truck coming around the corner now!

We have to find a balance between enjoying our tasty treats as well as remaining healthy and fit throughout the summer months. For one, get active and make sure to do at least 30 minutes of cardio a day. During your workouts, be sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, especially if you enjoy running outdoors. Heat strokes often occur when the body temperature exceeds 104 degrees Fahrenheit due to long periods of physical exertion in a humid climate.

Many people begin working out months prior to summertime, often right after the holidays, to achieve their “summer body.” Who wants to put in all of that hard work and dedication just to let it go during summertime fun? Below is a list of fun outdoor activities to indulge in this summer as well as a list of delicious snacks that will keep you healthy and hydrated.
